Ever since the entertainment lineup for the Fall Festival was announced  people from McLeansboro and the surrounding areas have been looking forward to Saturday night on the square and no one came away disappointed. Shortly after the parade ended,  Nashville duo Moore and Moore took the stage on the south side of the square. Debbie and Carrie Moore, two very attractive twin sisters, kept the huge–and I do mean HUGE–crowd entertained with their songs and humor, even inviting a slightly-embarrassed gentleman named “Mike” up on the stage to do his part as they sang Loretta Lynn’s hit You Ain’t Woman Enough to Take My Man.

After getting the crowd revved up with their high energy, Moore and Moore gave way to David Frizzell, another big name on the country music circuit who had a big hit with I’m Gonna Hire a Wino to Decorate Our Home  and joked with the crowd he’d written the song 27 years ago and had been performing it that long. During his set David Frizzell invited the Moore sisters back out on stage to help him sing You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma, a big hit he did way back when with Shelly West.

The third and final performer of the night was country music legend Whisperin’ Bill Anderson who had the crowd in the palm of his hand from the moment he walked on stage. Bill Anderson, backed by The Po’ Boys Band, sang several songs everyone knew and most of the crowd was singing along.

Below are just a few of the many songs these fine acts performed for us. Enjoy!
