Friday Evening at the Fall Festival

Friday evening was the time for one of the Fall Festival’s most popular events, the Little Miss Fall Festival contest. Sixteen young ladies were on hand to vie for the title and each one appeared poised and gave great answers to all the questions put to them. Each and every contestant waited patiently for their turn and although you and I know they must have been a little nervous they didn’t show it.  I know all the parents, friends, and families of these young girls are proud of them–win, lose, or draw–and I know they must be especially proud of each one for handling everything so well. How many of us older folks could do as well?

After the Little Miss Fall Festival Contest the musical group, The Van-Dells, took the stage. Playing a mix of 50’s and 60’s music, this year’s Fall Festival theme, The Van-Dells performed a variety of hits and musical favorites that I know brought back a lot of memories.
